Carlow Kilkenny Under-17 Soccer Manager Mark Ross says the fact that their players are playing below their age group has been significant in terms of development.
Speaking to KCLR, Mark says that a year at underage is massive in trying to develop.
He said “The problem for us is our kids, our players are genuinely playing a year below up to 18 months below, now I am not making excuses, what I am trying to say is in the development of the bodies at this age group, a year can be a big amount of difference, again not making excuses but next year the boys will bear the fruits of the effort they put in this year”.
