Former Leinster Outhalf Chris Pim says that Ireland’s defeat in in the Six Nations to England earlier in the year has had a massive negative impact.
Speaking to KCLR after Ireland’s defeat to Japan on Saturday morning, Chris says they haven’t been the same team since that heavy defeat.
He said “Whatever about the physical damage, the mental damage is just enormous and you look back to the start of the year that England game in Lansdowne Road, they absolutely gave us a hiding”.
“I think since then, we possibly haven’t been the same side and just belief, there is four or five times that the belief has been really knocked out of them between the other English game, the Welsh game and the Six Nations, there has been a lot of damage there done there in the mental capacity over the last few months”.
