Emeralds Junior Hurler Aidan Fogarty says that young players are perfectly right to avail of the opportunity to go travelling during the Summer when there is very little club action happening.
Speaking to KCLR, Aidan says that they would actually benefit by going abroad during the Summer.
He said “You can’t hold them back, in this day and age you can’t hold them back, I would say go because they wouldn’t even miss a match and they have to live their lives outside of hurling as well and I think they may even come back with a pep in their step gunning for this time of the year then if they do, obviously they miss out on a small hurling and stuff but four or five weeks would sort that out so”.
