Mt. Leinster Rangers Hurler Edward Coady says it would be wisest if Intermediate Club Hurler Ciaran Kavanagh is kept back from playing in the Senior Final on Sunday to allow him to develop properly.
Ciaran has been a star performer on Rangers route to the County Intermediate Final on Saturday afternoon against Bagenalstown Gaels, and speaking to KCLR, Edward who will play in the Intermediate Final says it’s important not to put unnecessary pressure on the youngster.
He said “He is a really good talent, it’s just trying to harness that correctly and not to put too much pressure on the young guys shoulder, not to be putting too much pressure to expect him to deliver at Senior level either this year”.
“Maybe next year could be different, a year can make a big difference to a developing guy of his calibre”.
