Carlow’s Senior Footballers will be without Stephen Poacher next season after the coach decided to step down.
He leaves Turlough O’Brien’s backroom team after three years with the side and has gained a lot of friendships and respect from Gaa fans across the county and beyond.
During his time with Carlow he clocked up over 1000 kilometres a week driving to and from training and matches.
Steven says telling Turlough O’Brien that he was stepping away from the role was an emotional one.
