St Mullins have booked their place in the Leinster Club Senior Hurling Final against Ballyhale Shamrocks after two late points from James Doyle at the death.
The play their first Senior Leinster final ever after defeating Rathdowney Errill from Laois yesterday by a mere point on a 2-17 to 1-19 scoreline.
Speaking to KCLR after the game St Mullins man Marty Kavanagh said it was a team effort.
He said “I just took the frees and that, there’s a bit of pressure and I missed a few of them as well, and I missed a good goal chance in the second half as well”.
“Lads stood up, James Doyle was unbelievable, I missed a free to go level and he got the next few points to win it for us really, so i’m just happy to contribute as is everyone else, its for the team”.
