Kilkenny KCLR Match Analyst Michael Walsh says that Henry Shefflin was a huge influence in saving the career of TJ Reid.
TJ came close to walking out of the Kilkenny Panel in 2012, and speaking during Ballyhale Shamrocks’s Leinster Semi-Final victory over St. Martins, Michael says that Henry advising him stay within the Kilkenny panel back then was a huge turning point.
He said “That was a huge turning point. He was ready to walk away and only for Henry this mightn’t have all taken place”.
“It’s amazing and even at that time, he was well established, he scored four great points in 2010, but then he struggled a bit and thank god for Henry to save the career as they say and look at what a career it turned out to be”.
