Former Kilkenny hurler says Wexford should not be taken for granted

John Power

Former Kilkenny Senior Hurler John Power says that the Kilkenny Public should remain grounded despite everything on a high in Kilkenny at present.

Speaking to KCLR ahead of Kilkenny’s clash against Carlow on Sunday, John says that Brian Cody will be aware of the rising expectations within the county right now.

He said “I suppose the way Kilkenny did play well, and with all the club success the week before, I suppose everything is on a high in Kilkenny and everyone is looking forward to new talent and maybe a new sort of team, often times they don’t work out that way and I suppose Brian Cody and his selectors will be well aware of it”.
