Kilkenny & District League Manager Johnny MacClean says that the Desmond League have proven themselves to be a quality team having knocked out last years Oscar Traynor holders the Limerick & District League in this years competition.
The sides clash at 2.30pm on the Kells Road on Sunday.
Speaking to KCLR, Johnny says that Desmond League results this season have proven they are going to be tough opponents.
He said “They beat the Limerick District League and actually as it turned out, both Limerick Desmond and the Clare League came out of that group so like the holders basically are out of the tournament”.
“They are after getting to a Quarter-Final, they won’t be an easy team like, they must be some sort of a quality team to get this far”.
