Carlow Senior Hurler David English says that their current injury difficulties was a situation that was likely to materialise having been injury free over the last few years.

Speaking to KCLR ahead of tonight’s (Saturday) National League clash against Laois, David says that bad luck has been a contributing factor to their League difficulties so far.

He said “We kind of knew it was going to be like this. We have been blessed over the last couple of years that we hadn’t long term injuries throughout the Christy Ring run and the Joe Mc run and even last year like we were blessed that our starting 15 managed to stay healthy throughout that but we are kind of running on a small bit of bad luck at the moment, lads just picking up little niggles and missing games”.
