The Scottish Government has warned that it could pause football if there are further breaches of quarantine rules.

Celtic’s Bolo Bolingoli has apologised for playing in Sunday’s match against Kilmarnock, despite failing to isolate upon returning from Spain.

His breach followed news of eight Aberdeen players visiting a bar that was at the centre of a coronavirus outbreak.

Wolves play their 59th game of the season when they meet Sevilla in the last eight of the Europa League in Duisberg this evening.

The winners will face Manchester United on Sunday.

====

Manchester United will face either Wolves or Sevilla in Sunday’s Europa League semi final.

A Bruno Fernandes penalty in extra time was enough to give United a 1-0 win over Copenhagen in Cologne last night.

====

Republic of Ireland international Jeff Hendrick is being linked with a move to Newcastle United in the transfer window.

Hendrick is a free agent after leaving Burnley.

====

Elsewhere, Tottenham Hotspur are expected to complete the signing of midfielder Pierre Emlle Hojbjerg (PRON: Hoyberg) from Southampton today.
