Kilkenny player Collette Dormer says manager Brian Dowling and former manager Ann Downey are very similar in how they go about their business.

This is Brian’s first year as manager of the side after assisting Ann for the last number of seasons.

They’re preparing for the All Ireland final on Saturday against Galway, who they lost out to last year.

Collette told KCLR that both managers are hugely passionate about the game.

“They’re both very similar in ways, they’re both very passionate, professional and they’re a driving force, it’s just that maybe they’ve a different voice, you can’t say that they’re a whole lot different” said Collette.

“Brian is a bit more calm but the passion that the two of them have is just absolutely fantastic and Ann has given everything to camogie and the group of players that we have, we look up to Ann and we couldn’t thank her enough”.

We have live commentary of the game here on KCLR on Saturday here on KCLR.

Meanwhile the fundraising continues for the team for expenses on All Ireland Final weekend.

They’re hosting a golf classic on the 11th of December in Callan golf club and if you want to take part you can contact Jim Freeman on 087 2551507.
