Kilkenny manager Brian Dowling says his team show their resilience in the All Ireland semi final against Cork and it should stand to them in the final.
Cork went 1-03 up on the cats in the first half after a blistering start however they pulled the score back and fought it out at the end, coming away with the win.
Brian says it’s something that the team has learned to deal with.
“We said after the first 15 minutes at the water break to drive it on, just a bit more composure, a bit more clinical in front of goal and we’ll be right back in this game, not to panic” Brian told KCLR.
“In fairness they didn’t (panic), that was the message I’ve been sending all year, there’s going to be times that they’ll get a run on you, you’d prefer if it didn’t happen but it is going to happen at times, we’re happy with the composure that the girls showed afterwards and the heart and desire, we found a way to win without playing to the best of our ability, we found a way to get over the line, that’s something that they team has been maybe missing in the past” he said.
We have live commentary of the game here on KCLR on Saturday, and we’ve also a special preview show on Saturday evening from 5.30pm to 7pm as we build up for the game.
