Eddie Kerr says camogie is as good a game or better than men’s hurling.
The Kilkenny Legend says he was highly impressed by the exploits of the Kilkenny team in winning the all Ireland camogie final in Croke Park last Saturday.
There’s an argument that camogie should simply be called hurling and Eddie’s told KCLR that it’s certainly not an inferior game in any way.
“There were good tackles in the camogie, but great opportunities to display their skills which they did in spades,” said Eddie.
“I think it’s a better game and of course the hand pass goal is gone which adds to the game as well so you have to hit the ball into the net”.
“It’s got, you could say equal to hurling as a game with rules and everything” he added
