The Wheel Nut

It’s been another busy week of news in Formula One.

The biggest news and one that came as a shock to many was the news that Renault’s team principal Cyril Abiteboul announced that he’s leaving the company outright.

Abiteboul had been Renault’s team principal since they re-joined F1 grid in 2016 and had made great gains and advances with the team over the past few years managing to get cars back on the podium again.

Renault is rebranding as Alpine for 2021 with a new direction and a change in name, livery, and all.

There have been other stories too, and with the help of our friends in Formulaspy.com, have a read of some of the main stories this week.

Charles Leclerc has confirmed that he has contracted the coronavirus, just days after returning from a winter break in Dubai.

As part of Renault’s Alpine rebrand, they have released some initial images of their new look.

The Catalan circuit has begun work on reprofiling Turn 10 at the venue, which is with the intent of creating a better overtaking opportunity.
