From the greatest stage of them all, to the local stage in the Watergate Theatre.
9-time All-Ireland medal winner Jackie Tyrrell made an impromptu appearance last night in Jack And The Beanstalk, Watergate Productions pantomime for 2016.
The James Stephens clubman was penned into the script almost as a throwaway reference as Dame Spratt’s (played by Derek Dooley) ideal lover.
But with the Liam McCarthy in hand (sort of), Kilkenny’s veteran corner-back got right in the thick of it as this video from Maeve O’Flynn shows.

If he doesn’t feature too heavily in this year’s National Hurling League campaign when it gets underway in February, there’s always the option of going for The Full Monty when Kilkenny Musical Society open it on stage in April.
Thanks for having me @Moffy9 & it was great to make my acting debut 😳 @WatergateKK congrats on great production 👏 https://t.co/AKJytIB0Lr
