Kilkenny manager Brian Cody says they’ll give the league the respect it deserves before turning their attention to the championship in a few week’s time.
They’re in action again on Sunday where they welcome Laois to Nowlan Park for a 1.45 pm throw-in.
Brian says his focus is on the league for now.
“It’s the league, and the championship is what everybody is thinking about and talking about, it’s in about five week’s time,” said Brian.
“I mean they have to play Laois and certainly won’t disrespect either of the teams by saying who’s going to win the match”.
“We have a straight run to a Leinster semi-final so we’ll play our two league matches and we’ll prepare for the championship” he added.
