The Carlow footballers will gather back at training this week and go through their game against Louth at the weekend.
They missed out on promotion to Division 3 of the national league with the loss but now turn their attention to their Leinster championship opener against Longford on the 27th of June.
Carlow Football Manager Niall Carew told scoreline that they’re going to work hard on improving themselves.
“It’s a learning curve, but it’s only one game, it’s a snapshot of where we are at,” said Niall.
“This is a journey that Ger, myself, Simon, and Victor, along with the rest of the backroom team are willing to take on”.
“We’re just going to have to work harder as a management team, have a look at the club championship as well, and try and get a few more players in to make it more competitive” he added.
