Kilkenny manager Brian Cody says TJ Reid is so important to the success and development of the Kilkenny team.
The Ballyhale man shot 16 points against Wexford in the Leinster semi-final, 11 from frees, and two 65’s.
He didn’t even appear to be cramping after nearly 100 minutes of intense hurling and Brian says that’s down to how he looks after himself.
“He’s 33, he’s nearly 34 probably, and his fitness level is absolutely top class, everybody knows his talent is superb,” said Brian.
“He shows great leadership, and his ability, his free-taking, almost always impeccable and pressure frees, so many of them as well”.
“He’s just so so important, the fact that he was so fresh at the end of the match is a serious serious reflection of the work he puts into it” he added.
