Carlow Golf Club is to stage a Pro-Am competition at the club on the bank holiday Monday 2nd of August.
The event which was originally to take place in 2020 was postponed and goes ahead in a few week’s time with a prize pot of €10,000.
Local company Sheehy Motors is the sponsor for the Pro-Am which hasn’t been hosted there since 2008.
The course is home to club pro and European Tour winner Damien McGrane.
The competition takes the format of an 18-hole strokeplay with €2000 in prizes for the leading amateur teams.
