Kilkenny’s Leann Fennelly – “Antrim deserved to win”

As the dust has settled on Kilkenny camogie losing another All Ireland clash this year, player Leann Fennelly thought that Antrim deserved to win because Kilkenny just didn’t perform.

Antrim won by nine points in Sunday’s clash at Croke Park and Mullinavat’s Fennelly spoke to scoreline of the disappointment felt throughout the camp.

“I suppose everyone, the whole group there are very disappointed that we didn’t perform to the best that we know we could really and have kind of throughout the year but, we were probably beaten by the better team on the day,” said Leann.

“They worked very hard and got scores, there were patches where we did react well to their goals, we never stopped, so that’s the main thing” she added.
