Kilkenny trainer Tony Mullin’s star horse Princess Zoe heads for France today ahead of the Prix Du Cadran on Saturday.
The race, which is the french equivalent of the Ascot Gold Cup is on at 3.30 pm.
At the moment the princess is 2/1 favourite for the race.
The horse won the race last year and Tony told KCLR that it would be an outstanding achievement to do it again.
“Yeah well it’s a huge weekend for us, it’s like an All Ireland,” said Tony.
“We won this group one last year so to go and try and repeat it is absolutely massive for a small stable like ours”
“Our homework and all is gone perfectly, and as long as the travelling to France, which I don’t envisage any problems, she did it last year, so as long as that goes alright we’ll be the one to beat I think on Saturday”.
