Dicksboro claimed their third Minor championship in a row after a very hard-fought battle against Tullogher Roberson at the weekend winning the game by a single point.
The game finished up Dicksboro 0-22, Tullogher Rosbercon 2-15.
At stages, manager Mickey Walsh believed his side would not come out on top but was astonished by the hunger and desire of his young team particularly in the closing moments of the game.
“I actually thought when they got the goal, I said it to one of my selectors, they had everything with them, the momentum, the wind, the crowd, I’ll never forget that last ten minutes for the way we defended and the way we worked scores,” said Michael.
“Kevin Moore, he broke his shoulder I’d say eight weeks ago, he had no right to be here today, and when I put him on first he looked a bit rusty and I said god am I after making the right decision here, but my god he comes up and gets an unbelievable point and catches a great ball”.
“That’s the spirit that was in this side, that’s the way we were all year, they’re a great bunch of chaps and I’m just so thrilled”.
