Marble City Hawks were defeated in their MissQuote.ie Division 1 game at the weekend with the Tipperary Knights.
54-35 was how the game finished up, the Tipperary Knights remain unbeaten in the league with NUIG Mystics the same.
The next game up for the side is on Saturday 23rd October from 5 pm away against the Limerick Sport Huskies.
IT Carlow Ladies
The IT Carlow ladies were also defeated at the weekend in their MissQuote.ie Super League clash away to Killester on Saturday,
91-63 is how it ended up with Killester picking up their first win of the season.
Their summer signing Myah Taylor stood out with some excellent finishing from the three-point line, racking up 34 points. Mimi Clarke also caught the eye with 21 points.
Alyssa Velles was the standout performer for IT Carlow Basketball grabbing 18 points.
Speaking afterwards head coach Martin Conroy revealed his team was looking to recruit. “They’re (Killester) a really good team, we’re struggling at the minute, we have one American compared to everyone else in this league having two, we hope to rectify that this week, so it will get better for us. I am very proud of the way the girls played right up to the end of the game.”
Next up for IT Carlow is their home game against the Leixlip Amenities Liffey Celtics at 3.30 pm on Saturday 23rd October.
They’re also back on bank holiday Monday away to the WIT Waterford Wildcats at 1 pm for round four.
IT Carlow Men
IT Carlow got the better of the Portlaoise Panthers in a tight game on Friday evening last.
92-83 was the final score which leaves the local side two from two in the InsureMyVan.ie Division 1 league.
The Limerick Sport Eagles, UCC Demons and Ej Sligo All-Stars are also two from two.
