There will be a repeat of the 2020 Carlow Senior Championship final as Eire Og and Rathvilly meet again at the last stage.
Five in a row chasing Eire Og defeated Mount Leinster Rangers 1-16 to 9 points
Rathvilly then booked their place in the Carlow Senior Football Championship on Sunday by defeating Bagenalstown Gaels 1-07 to 0-09 points.
Rathvilly player Tony Bolger hopes his side can avenge their previous final losses to Eire Og.
“(There is) a mix of youth and experience in the team and we seem to get a lot of energy from young fellas coming on,” said Tony.
“There were different lads stepping up today which is good, a lot more scores”.
“When it comes to finals, we’ve lost too many in our time, and Eire Og, I’d say it will be hard but I find it is always a great day, and hopefully we can do ourselves justice this time”.
