The draw for the first round and quarter-final stages of the 2022 Leinster GAA senior football championships were made on Saturday.

Niall Carew’s Carlow charges will take on Mickey Harte’s Louth in Drogheda Park on the weekend of 23/24 April.

Also on the opening weekend, Laois will host Wicklow in Portlaoise while O’Connor Park Tullamore sees Wexford travel to Offaly.

The quarter-finals will be played over the May bank holiday weekend with the winner of that game set to face Kildare.

The winners of Offaly v Wexford will face Dublin, the winners of Laois and Wicklow travelling to Meath while Westmeath and Longford will also meet in the quarter-final stages.

This year’s semi-finals will be played across 14/15 May while the Leinster senior football final is scheduled for Saturday 28 May.

All games are winners on the day (no replays).
