There were mixed results in the Leinster club football championships over the weekend for our sides from Kilkenny and Carlow.
Kilkenny senior champions Thomastown are out of the intermediate championship following defeat to Trim on Saturday.
In the junior championship, Grange pushed Kilcullen all the way but fell short to bow out at the quarter-final stages.
Meanwhile, a win for Kilkenny intermediate champions O’Loughin Gaels sees them through to a place in the Leinster junior club semi-finals on Saturday week where they’ll have home advantage over Clonbullogue of Offaly.
Hurling
Ballyhale Shamrock’s reward for their victory over Mount Leinster Rangers at the weekend is a Leinster club senior hurling semi-final clash against St. Rynagh’s of Offaly.
O’Connor Park, Tullamore, will host the game and tickets are already on sale. It’s another all-ticket event meaning you’ll have to have yours in hand via online sources before you arrive at the grounds.
Camogie
Thomastown and Myshall both exited the 2020 Leinster senior and intermediate camogie championships at the weekend.
For Myshall, attention now turns to the 2021 Championships, underway early in the new year.
