It’s been a long, long road, but we’re nearly there.

One of the last county finals, if not the last, for 2021 is booked for this Thursday as Piltown plays host to the JJ Kavanagh & Son Under 21 C Hurling Championship decider.

Galmoy/Windgap will be there after they saw off St. Lachtain’s 1-22 to 1-15 on Sunday. On the other side of the lines, it’s Kilmacow who got through their southern derby against Glenmore with plenty of room to spare, that game finishing up 3-13 to 1-10 also on Sunday.

Throw-in on Thursday night is set for 8pm.

Also over the weekend, Carrickshock put St. Patrick’s to the sword in a 2-17 to 0-04 win in the Under 21 D hurling championship final on Sunday.
