Ahead of the new inter-county season, Kilkenny Camogie has named their captains for 2022.
Minor
Dicksboro’s Amy Clifford will captain the minor side this year and will be aiming to guide them to back-to-back All Ireland victories.
Amy is busy with her club preparing for the Leinster Club Semi-Final in a few weeks’ time.
Kilkenny’s minors get the defense of the Síle Nic An Ultaigh cup underway on Sunday 6 February against Waterford
Intermediate
Barrow Rangers’ Shauna Treacy is set to lead the Kilkenny intermediates and they get their 2022 campaign underway on February 5 with a home game against Tipperary.
Shauna was part of her club’s team that won the Kilkenny Intermediate title.
Senior
Dicksboro’s Aoife Prendergast has been named as senior captain and captained her own club to county success last year.
Kilkenny’s first league game is against Limerick on 5 February.
Meanwhile, Clara’s Theresa Aylward was named as new Kilkenny Camogie chairperson on Tuesday evening, taking up the role on January 11th.
