Niall Carew names first starting line-up of 2022 as Carlow kick-off O’Byrne Cup campaign against Kildare

Niall Carew has named a strong team for Carlow’s opening O’Byrne Cup game with Kildare on Thursday night.

Ciarán Cunningham is the starting goalkeeper while the full-back line sees Keegan Bradley in between Dara Curran and Liam Roberts.

Darragh O’Brien and Shane Buggy start either side of centre-back Conor Doyle with a midfield in front of them of Seanie Bambrick and Murtough Ware.

Josh Moore, Henry Hegarty and Shane Clarke make up the half-forward line while sharpshooter Darragh Foley starts at full-forward with Conor Crowley and Cormac Lomax in the corners.

Carlow begin their O’Byrne Cup campaign with a home tie against Kildare tonight at 7.30pm in Netwatch Cullen Park before they travel to Lakepoint Park for an away clash with Westmeath on Saturday at 2pm.
