ITC Basketball claimed a big result in Division One of the Women’s National League when they beat Ulster Rockets 76-65 in Belfast.
30 points in the final quarter secured the win as the IT Carlow based side moved up to seventh in the table.
The win made it a successful weekend for the club as their Men’s and Women’s sides both recorded wins in the same round of the National League for the first time.
It was a Leinster derby in the men’s IT Carlow as ITC hosted Kestrels of Portarlington. Martin Conroy’s side came away with a 71-69 victory. 26 points from Harrison Deyo proved crucial in the one-basket win with Kiran Chopra and Kyle Burke getting in on the scoring.
