UL are the 2022 Fitzgibbon Cup champions following a drama-filled ending at IT Carlow on Saturday afternoon.
Trailing by four points with only minutes to go, UL managed to level the game with four points without reply down the home stretch to seemingly send the game to extra-time.
That was not the case however, as semi-final match-winner Mikey Kiely struck another late goal to seal a famous victory for the Munster College.
For NUIG, they fall agonisingly short in their attempt to claim an historic double after their footballers were crowned Sigerson Cup champions on Wednesday night.
