Tommy O’Mahony, head coach for the Ireland U18 Women’s team, selected the 16 players who will progress to the next stage and includes Kilkenny Star’s player Lucy Coogan.
The squad includes three players from Liffey Celtics (Niamh O’Leary, Emily O’Dwyer, and Niamh Sherlock), while two players remain from Waterford Wildcats (Caitlin Gloeckner and Sarah Hickey).
Tara Nevin, Amy Duggan, Micaiah Fubara, Rachel Callery, Niamh Sherlock, Niamh Tolan, Erica Egan, Niamh O’Leary, and Emily O’Dwyer are among the nine uncapped players in the squad.
Last summer, Caitlin Gloeckner, Rebecca Sexton, Bree Shelley, and Lucy Devoy all competed at the FIBA u16 European Challengers, while Maria Kealy and Lucy Coogan participated at the FIBA u18 European Challengers.
