It’s hard to beat live sport on St. Patrick’s Day, especially when you’ve got a local side making the pilgrimage to Croke Park.
Traditionally a date reserved for the AIB GAA club All-Ireland finals, those days have changed, paving the way for the post-primary schools finals to take to GAA HQ for a day’s hurling and football.
This was the first running of the competition since St. Kieran’s last won it in 2019 but it wasn’t to be for the city school with Ardscoil Rís running out 1-17 to 0-15 winners.
