The Carlow senior footballers will want to finish off their season on a high as they welcome Wexford to Netwatch Cullen Park on Saturday at 1 pm.
It’s their final game of Division 4 of the National Football League, which hasn’t been a pleasant season losing five out of their six games to date, most recently losing to Tipperary last weekend.
Manager Niall Carew told us after the game that it’s all a learning process for the current squad.
“I’m very disappointed, I thought at halftime we were well in the game, there was only a couple of points in it” said Niall.
“In the second half, I think, when we made that mistake for the goal, our heads dropped and from there on in, we were second best which is disappointing for us a group, we addressed it inside there (dressing room) and were hoping that won’t happen again”.
“We have to be bigger than that and I think we will be going forward, I think it’s a learning curve for us all”.
