St. Kieran’s College in Kilkenny has been crowned Leinster Colleges Junior Champions.

They beat city rivals CBS Kilkenny 1-20 to 1-12 on Wednesday in Larchfield.

Kilkenny CBS started the game strong hitting a goal inside the first four minutes, however, it mobilised Kieran’s who then shot seven unanswered points after that.

St. Kieran’s then stuck a ball in the back of the net on 21 minutes thanks to Aaron McEvoy from the Graigue Ballycallan club.

At halftime, St. Kierans College lead the CBS 1-9 to 1-4.

The schools traded points in the second half but Kieran’s kept the gap on the scoreboard and that saw them out winners.
