Sunday’s Leinster junior cup clash between Carlow’s New Oak Boys and Wexford’s North End looked to be heading to penalties but for officials to find six minutes of injury time in extra time.
Dean Kelly sent travelling fans into raptures with a curling free kick in the first half before North End forced the game to extra time late on. Shane Dempsey would strike at the death to send North End through to the final of this year’s competition.
The Wexford side will play Dublin’s Kilbarrack after they put Kilkenny’s Evergreen out of contention on Saturday.

While New Oak won’t have the opportunity to add this year’s Leinster junior cup to their growing list of accolades this season, the recently-crowned Premier Division champions do have more to play for as they’ll meet Parkville United in the final of the Premier Cup this coming Sunday.
Parkville staged the most dramatic of comebacks, going from a goal down on the hour mark against Dolmen Celtic on Sunday to net four in fifteen minutes including strikes from Joe Sunderland, Nick Nolan, Jack O’Neill and Cian Doran and book their place in this season’s cup final. That game goes ahead at 11am in Killeshin FC.
