Kilkenny team v Wexford

The Kilkenny U20 hurling team to face Wexford in Carlow tonight has been named.

As expected, Dicksboro’s Harry Shine misses out through injury and will play no part in tonight’s Leinster final, Ted Dunne assuming Shine’s spot at corner forward.

Billy Reid also makes way from Kilkenny’s back line with Padraig Lennon of Carrickshock set to start at cornerback. Dicksboro’s Padraic Moylan again captains the side.

Kilkenny team v Wexford

  1. Aidan Tallis (Lisdowney)
  2. Niall Rowe (Dicksboro)
  3. Sean Purcell (Windgap)
  4. Padraig Lennon (Carrickshock)
  5. Joe Fitzpatrick (Dunnamaggin)
  6. Padraic Moylan (C, Dicksboro)
  7. Paddy Langton (Young Irelands)
  8. Killian Doyle (Emeralds)
  9. Denis Walsh (Dunnamaggin)
  10. Andy Hickey (Dunnamaggin)

  15. Ted Dunne (Graiguenamanagh)

Subs: Alan Rafter, Billy Reid, Eoghan O’Brien, Martin Gannon, Jack Doyle, Ian Byrne, James Walsh, Pierce Blanchfield, Adam Croke

A win for Kilkenny would earn Lyng’s side their first provincial title since 2019 and book a date with Limerick in this year’s U20 All-Ireland final in a fortnight’s time.
