Carlow picked up the points in Aughrim today with a 0-17 points to 0-14 win over neighbours Wicklow.
They were coming into the game after an unexpected loss to Waterford the week before and were looking to make amends, Wicklow were also in the same boat having lost to Louth the week before.
Wicklow lead at the interval 0-10 to 0-7 however Carlow pushed on and picked up the pace in the second half to go on to be three-point winners, Kilbride’s Darragh Foley accounted for nine of the Carlow points.
The win leaves Carlow in fourth place out of eight on the Division 4 table.
Carlow are back in Netwatch Cullen Park next weekend where Louth will provide the opposition
