Carlow will have home advantage in this weekend’s Tailteann Cup quarter-finals.

Having seen off Tipperary 1-12 to 1-10 at Netwatch Cullen Park on Sunday, Carlow were first out of the hat in the southern section quarter-final draw on Monday morning, handing them home advantage as a result.

Westmeath will provide the opposition at 2pm on Sunday afternoon with Offaly taking on New York in Tullamore on Saturday afternoon in the section’s other quarter-final.

In the northern section, it’s Fermanagh who host Cavan while Leitrim welcome Sligo to Carrick-on-Shannon, both of those games fixed for Sunday.

Days and times for this weekend’s games will be announced later.

Tailteann Cup Quarter-final Fixtures

  • Northern section: Leitrim v Sligo
  • Northern section: Fermanagh v Cavan
  • Southern section: Carlow v Westmeath
  • Southern section: Offaly v New York

Games are to be played this weekend, 4/5 June, with the winners heading to an open draw on Monday next, combining both northern and southern section sides.

This year’s semi-finals (19 June) are being held in Croke Park.
