Kilkenny team to face Galway in 2022 Leinster final

Brian Cody has named his Kilkenny team to face Galway in Saturday’s Leinster senior hurling final.

The Cats are chasing a third consecutive Bob O’Keeffe cup title and see four changes to the starting fifteen that dropped a four-point defeat to Wexford a fortnight ago.

Huw Lawlor replaces Conor Delaney at fullback, the Erins Own man having deputised in the number three shirt while Lawlor missed championship game time with a hand injury.

Glenmore’s Alan Murphy, having started in the middle of the park last time out alongside Adrian Mullen, is replaced by Conor Fogarty. Walter Walsh and Tom Phelan, late replacements to start against Wexford have been replaced again, this time by Billy Ryan and Richie Leahy who returns to the folder after missing Kilkenny’s provincial run to date.

Much like Wexford, whether this is the starting fifteen that take to Croke Park at 7pm on Saturday remains to be seen, but this is where we’re at for a Friday night.
