The All Ireland is really heating up, but former Kilkenny Captain Lester Ryan thinks The Cats will be pre-purred

It is meant to be a scorching day on Sunday, predicted at 26 degrees.

The question we all ask ourselves now is, how will that affect the All Ireland final?

We know that last year’s Munster final had similar conditions, where Limerick started off slow and was at one point trailing Tipperary by ten points. Ultimately the Treaty valiantly battled to claim the prize, so is that indicative of Limerick’s fitness credentials?

Former Kilkenny Captain Lester Ryan reckons Brian Cody has strength in numbers to stop a late surge and expects will be happy with the strong arsenal the Cats can utilise from the bench.

“It will be tough going, a novelty thing. It was not long ago when the lights were coming up for replays.”

“It will be very very tough on the players. The subs were going to be important anyway. Kilkenny have the players they could potentially bring on that wont start, but the experience they have.”

“Walter Walsh won his first man of the match in 2012, that is ten years ago. He could come on Sunday or even start, and he was just excellent when he came on against Clare.”
