Laura Kane, PRO for St. Mullins Juvenile GAA club has been in touch to let us know what happened at their first open morning for current and potential members this past weekend.

With the day started by club chair Paul Redmond, it was over to the new indoor arena and outdoor pitch for a combined every by the ladies and juvenile clubs

Paul Redmond had a busy start as Chairman of St Mullins juvenile GAA club as we held our first open morning for current and potential members. The Ladies and Juvenile clubs combined to hold an event in both our new indoor arena and outdoor pitch. The arena was filled with 4-10 year olds who played a variety of games involving hurls, scoops, bean-bags, hurdles and relay races. Laughter and excitement filled the arena as parents looked on at their children who were expertly led by our coaches.

Our older hurlers, from 11-17, had their first pitch session in idyllic weather for hurling. It was great to see so many players back, looking sharp and fit after a winter in the gym and astro-turf.

Many new and existing members registered for the coming year inside while the activities took place with all new members receiving their first hurl.

The day was finished with James Jordan, very kindly, presenting a dozen sliotars to each underage group.

The club would like to say a massive thanks to James for the sliotars, the committee for organizing the event, the coaches who led activities, and most importantly, the parents and children who attended.

We hope to see everyone again in the next few weeks as training and matches get underway.

Thanks to Laura at St. Mullins for all the details.
