This past weekend saw the group stages of the Michael Lyng Motors Kilkenny intermediate hurling championship come to a close, settling the fixtures for the league finals, relegation play-offs and opening championship fixtures.
Unbeaten Danesfort will meet Thomastown in the league decider, with Carrickshock and Rower Inistioge set to contest this year’s shield final. All four sides are through to the quarter-finals of this year’s intermediate championship.
All games go ahead this coming weekend.
Saturday 17 September
- 3pm: Young Irelands v Mooncoin at Inistioge (first round championship)
- 3pm: St. Martin’s v St. Lachtains at Canon Kearns Park(relegation semi-final)
- 5.15pm: Fenians v Conahy Shamrocks at Lisdowney (relegation semi-final)
Sunday 18 September
- 12pm: Thomastown v Danesfort at John Locke Park, Intermediate league final
- 2.15pm: Carrickshock v Rower Inistioge at Bennettsbridge, Intermediate shield final
- 4pm: O’Loughlin Gaels v Danesfort (first round championship)
Quarter-final fixtures will be held on the weekend of 1/2 October.
