Highview Athletic played their first game under floodlights on their state of the art astroturf pitch on Friday evening as they got the better of Ballymurphy Celtic on a scoreline of 4-2 in the FAI Junior Cup.
Goals from Murty and Dean Broaders as well as fine finishes from Mitchell Maher and Ryan Foley saw the Kilkenny club advance to the next round.
The result comes off the back of an exciting time for the club as they recently opened their FIFA standard 3G pitch with last night’s encounter being played in front of a big home crowd.

Elsewhere, Killeshin FC were 4-3 winners against Bunclody at Scats Quakers Park.
Meanwhile, there are a number of games taking place on Sunday morning as Kilkenny and Carlow clubs look to begin their cup campaign with a victory.
