Domestic football will recommence this weekend in Kilkenny following a hiatus in the leagues due to the resignations of the league’s management committee earlier this month.
A new ad-hoc management committee was put in place at a meeting on Monday evening meaning fixtures can continue until October 24th when an EGM will be held to vote in a longer-term committee.
The Junior St Canice’s Credit Union Premier Division continues with three games including the meeting of Freebooters and Callan United.
The only game in Division 1 sees Ormonde Villa host Highview Athletic A, while Tullaroan’s clash with St John’s is the pick of the ties in the second division.
There is also one match in the bottom tier as Newpark take on Evergreen 46.
Elsewhere, Evergreen are away to North End United in the LFA Senior Cup and Deen Celtic face St Canice’s in the Pat Maher Shield.
The KCLR Carlow Shield dominates the weekend’s proceedings in Carlow with seven games up for decision.
Some eye-catching ties include Ardattin Athletic’s meeting with Crettyard United and Parkville United’s clash with St Patrick’s Boys.
Meanwhile, New Oak Boys are in LFA Senior Cup action against Kilbarrack United.
