Plenty of Carlow-Kilkenny action as FAI Junior Cup second round draw is made

There's a host of Kilkenny and Carlow teams in the draw for the second round of the 2022/23 FAI Junior Cup.

The draw for the second round of the 2022 FAI Junior Cup has been made with plenty of local matchups on the cards.

With Wexford, Kilkenny, Carlow and Wicklow all represented this round we’re set to see a few local derbies as Thomastown United get set to host Bridge United with Crettyard United making the trip to Bagenalstown. There’s some cross-border action too with Carlow’s Parkville United heading to Kilkenny’s Fort Rangers while St. Canice’s in Kilkenny city welcome Carlow’s Hanover Harps.

Check the full draw below, with first team out having home advantage.

  • Evergreen FC v Moyne Rangers
  • Thomastown United v Bridge United
  • Fort Rangers v Parkville United
  • Curracloe United v Vale Wanderers
  • Arklow Town v Killeshin FC
  • Forth Celtic v New Oak Boys
  • Bagenalstown AFC v Crettyard United
  • Freebooters AFC v Gorey Rangers AFC
  • Shelburne United v Highview Athletic
  • New Ross Celtic v North End United
  • St. Canice’s FC v Hanover Harps
  • Crossabeg AFC v Wexford Bohemians

Games will be played on Sunday 16 October.
