It was another busy weekend on the local soccer front in Kilkenny and Carlow with plenty of youths and underage action at grounds around the two counties from Friday through Sunday.
On the adult end of things, the FAI Junior Cup was taking centre stage for sides on Sunday plenty of clubs booking safe passage to the next round of the competition, some at the expense of county neighbours.
Among other local fixtures, Division 2 league leaders in Kilkenny, Castlewarren Celtic dropped points to St. John’s on Sunday morning while Stoneyford and Thomastown United B played out an entertaining 3-3 draw.
