The four teams remaining in provincial action from Kilkenny and Carlow now know who they will be facing in the next round following their victories in the Leinster championship over the weekend.

Carlow senior champions Palatine defeated St Patrick’s on Saturday night in Netwatch Cullen Park in the opening round and they will now face Laois side Portarlington in the quarter-final.

That game will take place in Netwatch Cullen Park at 3pm on Sunday, November 6th.

Junior champions Clonmore got the better of Grattan Og on Sunday afternoon and they will now play host to Straffan on Saturday, November 5th in Netwatch Cullen Park at 1.30pm.

Mullinavat will play Shandonagh on the same day at the same time in a Kilkenny venue in the intermediate quarter-final.

Michael Aylward’s men scored a late goal to get the better of Bracknagh on a scoreline of 2-06 to 1-07 on Saturday.

Muckalee will face Westmeath opposition in the form of St Joseph’s in the Leinster Ladies junior semi-final after a 3-11 to 0-08 win against Grattans.

A date, time and venue has not yet been confirmed for that game.
