There’s a busy weekend of Leinster championship football ahead on KCLR and Scoreline.ie

On Saturday afternoon, we’ll be splitting the airwaves between Kilkenny and Carlow to bring you full coverage of Mullinavat and Clonmore’s involvement in the provincial championships.

At 1.30pm in John Locke Park, Callan, Kilkenny champions Mullinavat welcome Westmeath’s Shandonagh to town with a place in the Leinster intermediate football championship semi-finals at stake. A win for Mullinavat would guarantee a home advantage for the semi-final stages on Saturday 19 November, but we’ll take it one match at a time, this one on our Kilkenny frequencies with Robbie Dowling and Eddie Scally calling the shots.

Over in Netwatch Cullen Park at the same time, it’s the meeting of Clonmore and Straffan in the Leinster junior football championship quarter-finals. Similar to Mullinavat, should the Carlow junior champions overcome their Kildare neighbours, it’s a home tie again on 19 November. We’ll be live on our Carlow frequencies with Brendan Hennessy and Willie Quinlan on duty.

Then on Sunday afternoon from 3pm we’ll be live on all frequencies for the Leinster senior football championship quarter-final meeting between Palatine and Laois champions Portarlington where there’s a place in this year’s semi-finals – and Croke Park – at stake. Again, Brendan and Willie will keep you company and bring you all the action from this one.
